I feel severely hurt. You know the hurt you feel when you let someone cast a shadow on you and make you believe you are less than what you are. It's like it was sunny one second, but the next it was covered by clouds. I can sense a part of me is missing after he took my happiness, that took oh so long to regain.
I think it's crazy how someone can be so conflicting and bring on 2 different personalities that suit them so well. He could be Mr. Hero for creating all these jobs in the community and helping the economy, but the next he could be screaming in my face to do better. I can still feel the thunder within my chest as he forcefully demanded we produce more efficiently. No amount of hard work ever met his expectation.
Anyone with common sense would have left the job, but the way he made me feel was worse than getting hit by a bus. He would tell me that no one wanted me and I had no other options for work. That made me lose the drive that I had created for myself that no matter what, I would push harder because there was always something greater to look forward to. No one ever needs to go through the pain I endured.
He eventually was charged for poor working conditions and a hostile working environment. Even though the Factory closed, the stain of agony will never wash out.
Process notes go here.
When I saw the picture of the two men I thought that the bolder looking guy on the right side had a mean look! The guy on the left side looked more friendly and he almost looked relieved! I took what I thought about the characters and made a short story about the right side guy being very cruel to the left side guy!
I thought of "The Factory" because I know that back in the day Factory Workers did not get treated that well and wanted to bring that to light!
I go to Prairie Point Junior High and I am in 7th Grade! I love to write about things I am passionate about and I also like to write about my life!
